GLOBAL LEADERSHIP FORUM 2025 – “BREAKING THE CYCLE”

Leaders Unite to Confront Generational Patterns and Build a Healed Nation

St. Maarten – The 2025 Global Leadership Forum, themed “Breaking the Cycle,” will convene on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, in St. Maarten, bringing together influential voices from government, justice, faith, education, media, and civil society. The forum is a prelude to the upcoming Global Women’s Conference – “Mending the Broken Heart”, creating a unified platform for transformation across systems and generations.

Hosted by Dr. Ann Marlin-Evans, Global Trauma-Informed Speaker and Founder of the Breaking the Cycles Initiative, the forum will address deep-rooted cycles that hinder progress—cycles of trauma, abuse, poverty, broken family structures, and leadership silence. The goal is to move beyond discussion to collaborative solutions that foster healing, policy reform, and community empowerment.

“We can no longer treat trauma and dysfunction as private matters—they are national issues,” said Dr. Ann Marlin-Evans. “True leadership begins when those in power confront the cycles that shape generations. This forum is not about blame—it’s about responsibility, collaboration, and courage.”

KEY OBJECTIVES

  • To create open dialogue between government leaders, justice representatives, NGOs, and faith-based institutions.

  • To develop joint strategies that address recurring societal issues such as violence, youth delinquency, and economic stagnation.

  • To identify practical actions that strengthen family structures, education systems, and social support mechanisms.

  • To integrate trauma-informed approaches into leadership, policy, and governance.

 CONFIRMED PARTICIPANTS

The high-level roundtable will include:

  • Senior Government Officials and Policy Advisors

  • Judiciary and Legal Representatives

  • Faith Leaders and NGO Directors

  • Media Representatives: SMN News, DCOMM, Carib Quest Media, and Soualiga News Today

  • Members of the Global Women’s Conference Leadership Council

WHY IT MATTERS

In an era marked by rising youth violence, domestic abuse, and community disconnection, this forum challenges leaders to bridge the gap between talk and transformation. “Breaking the Cycle” is more than a theme—it is a movement calling every sector to stand together and rewrite the national story toward healing, unity, and hope.
